FREE PATTERN : Cupcake Crochet (Amigurumi) - Suitable as Keychain or Pin Cushion

Add a sprinkle of charm to your day with this cute cupcake amigurumi. 🎀🍰 

This is a tutorial on how to make your own cupcake amigurumi without any sewing, except for closing the top of the cupcake and attaching the sprinkles. I hopes that this pattern is easy to follow and I hopes that you can give me feedback or questions. You can drop your comment either in Malay or English.

Ideal as a keychain or pin cushion, and you can choose any color to make it uniquely yours.

**This pattern uses US Crochet Terms**

Level: 

Beginner

Item Used: 

• 3mm Crochet Hook
• Scissor
• 1 Stich Marker
• Yarn Needle
• Poly Fill
• Plastic Binder / Cupboard for the base (make a round shape that a little bit smaller than the crocheted base)
• Hot Glue Gun
• Keychain ring (optional)

Yarn Used: 

• Milk Cotton Yarn (5ply / Sport) - 2 Colour: I use Brown (base) and White (cupcake top)
• Some leftover yarn for the sprinkle

Abbreviation and stiches: 

• CH: Chain stitch
• BLO: Back Loop Only
• DEC: SC decrease using the invisible method
• FLO: Front Loop Only
• HDC INC: Half Double Crochet Increase (Stich 2 HDC into the stitch)
• INC: Increase (Stitch 2 SC into the stitch)
• MR: Magic ring
• SC: Single crochet
• Sk: skip a stitch
• Sl st: Slip stitch
•  (...) x n: Repeat instructions in brackets n times

Part 1: Cupcake Base - Brown

R1: MR. 6sc (6)

R2: INC x 6 (12) 

R3: (SC, INC) x 6 (18)

R4: (2SC, INC) x 6 (24)

R5: BLO, (3SC, INC) x 6 (30) - (put round plastic binder to the base so that the cupcake has a flat base)

R6 -  R8: 30SC (3 rounds)

Part 2: Cupcake Top -  White

*Change Colour* 

R9: 30SC

R10: FLO, ( in one stich HDC INC, Sl st), Sk 1  x 15 (15 cupcake frosting)

R11: BLO, 30SC

R12 - R15: 30SC (4 Rounds)

R16: (3SC, DEC) x 6 (24)   

R17: (2SC, DEC) x 6 (18) - (Put Poly fill)

R18: (SC, DEC) x 6 (12)

R19: (DEC) x 6 (6) - Put more poly fill until you satisfy with the cupcake shape

* close the gap with weave the front loop of all 6 SC

* use the leftover yarn to make sprinkle

Your cupcake crochet is now complete! You can add any final touches like keychain or puts beads to make your creation truly unique. Enjoy your adorable, handmade cupcake amigurumi. 😁😁
